Continuing Education Schedule:

The Eastern School offers Continuing Education classes and seminars that are open to licensed acupuncturists as well as current students.

Kiiko Matsumoto, the world-renowned acupuncturist and teacher, will offer master classes at the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine. Internationally known for her scholarly work in acupuncture, Matsumoto is recognized for her ability to integrate the work of the Japanese Masters into a coherent, clinically effective style.

Course fee is $135 for practitioners, $100 for Eastern School Alumni Association members, and $60 for current Eastern School students. Pre-registration is required (50 percent refund available until fifteen days before the scheduled start of class).

Current practitioners will receive seven (7) continuing education units (PDA points) for completion of the class.

JEFFREY YUEN

Jeffrey Yuen comes directly from a Daoist lineage and trained under the Daoist priest, Yuen, learning among other healing arts, Chinese herbal medicine. Yuen was invited by NCCAOM to be among a group of prominent practitioners, to write and review questions during the development of the NCCAOM herbal exam and also served on their Finalization Committee.

DREAM INTERPRETATION IN CHINESE MEDICINE

Program Description
Chinese Medicine is rich in the analysis of dreams and their associations to the Zang-Fu. Dreams serve as a process by which the bodymind can recalibrate oneself and also reveal imbalances that need to be resolved. Crucial to the process is the importance of adequate sleep, as well as techniques to ensure restful sleep. This seminar will explain the role of sleep and how dreams can be interpreted and treatment guidelines when they represent disease process.

Goals & Objectives
  1. Participants will learn about the stages of restful sleep.
  2. Participants will learn about the common themes of dreams and their association to the Zang-Fu
  3. Participants will know how to treat dream imbalances utilizing Chinese medicine.
